Clinivate

Based in Pasadena, California, Clinivate creates software solutions for behavioral health providers, clinicians and managers.

Recognizing the need for software necessary to today’s behavioral health agencies, two individuals set out on a mission to create the best software available for clinicians and managers. Armed with over 30 years of experience in the behavioral health industry and over 20 years of experience in the software industry, Don Lomas and Steve Terui have combined their expertise and experience to form Clinivate, a company dedicated to creating easy-to-use, flexible, yet powerful tools for the documentation, tracking, and management of behavioral healthcare services.

Management Team

Don Lomas
President

Don Lomas is the founding father of Clinivate. Having spent over 30 years in clinical supervision, program development and management, Don felt compelled to develop computer software that could monitor mental health productivity, manage the clinical supervision process, and report client outcomes.

His extensive career in clinical supervision and program development and management began with the New York State Department of Mental Hygiene Elmira Psychiatric Center. In an 18 year career with Pacific Clinics, Don held several management positions, starting as the Director of Child/Adolescent Programs and ultimately attaining the position of Senior Vice President for Program Services.

Don left Pacific Clinics in 1999 to establish his own consultation business, Mental Health Delivery Systems, Inc. A partial list of clients has included the Children’s Bureau of Southern California, Pasadena Unified School District, South Central Health and Rehabilitation Programs, Behavioral Health Services, Inc., the Latino Behavioral Health Institute, and San Gabriel Children’s Center.

Don completed his undergraduate work in Psychology at Occidental College. He is a licensed clinical social worker and received his Master’s and Ph.D. from the USC School of Social Work.

Steve Terui
Vice President, Development

Steve Terui is one of the founders of Clinivate. His extensive management history in software development along with a successful history of providing management consulting services in product marketing and business strategies invigorates the entrepreneurial spirit of Clinivate.

Prior to Clinivate, Steve formed Innovare Group, a company that provided software consulting services for medium to large companies in the scientific/engineering tools, horticulture, local government, and food service industries. For seven years, Innovare Group successfully provided its services to clients including Fujitsu, Hostess/Frito-Lay, Keebler, and Honda North America.

He has held executive management positions in Ryan-McFarland, CADAM and Dassault Systemes of America developing and marketing software to companies including IBM, GM/EDS, Boeing and Grumman.

Steven holds a MBA from the Anderson School at University of California at Los Angeles and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mathematics from Cal State University of Los Angeles.
